IGbuddy does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you enter — your subjects, topic progress, study tasks, and solved paper records — stays entirely on your device. We never see it.
1. Who we are
IGbuddy is an independent mobile application designed to help IGCSE students organise their revision. The app is developed and maintained by an individual developer. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at privacy@igbuddy.app.
2. Data we do not collect
We collect absolutely nothing. Specifically, IGbuddy does not collect or have access to:
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Your device identifiers, IP address, or location
- Your study data, subject selections, or progress
- Usage analytics, session duration, or screen views
- Crash logs or diagnostic data
- Payment details (purchases are handled entirely by Apple)
3. Where your data lives
All data you create in IGbuddy — subject selections, topic confidence ratings, study tasks, solved paper records, and your exam zone — is stored exclusively in your device's local storage using AsyncStorage. It never leaves your device and is not transmitted over the internet.
If you delete the app, all associated data is permanently deleted with it.
4. In-app purchases
IGbuddy offers an optional one-time Pro upgrade. All payment processing is handled directly by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs how your payment data is handled: apple.com/legal/privacy.
5. Third-party services
IGbuddy does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or tracking tools. There are no third parties with access to your data.
6. Children's privacy
IGbuddy is designed for IGCSE students, which includes users under the age of 13. Because we collect no personal data whatsoever, the app is safe for users of all ages. We are fully compliant with COPPA and similar children's privacy regulations.
7. Changes to this policy
If we ever change our data practices — for example by adding crash reporting — we will update this page and revise the effective date above. We encourage you to check back periodically. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
